What Information & Documents Do I Need?

When you and your ex‑partner have already agreed who gets what, the only thing that stands between you and peace of mind is a court‑approved consent order.

Our Clean Break Consent Order Service (£399 inc. VAT) turns your financial agreement into a legally binding order without spending thousands on local solicitors. To professionally draft your clean break consent order, our solicitors need certain information from you.

Below you’ll find everything you need to provide so our solicitors can draft your order in as little as 14 working days.

Here’s The Information We Need…

For our solicitors to professionally draft your clean break consent order, they will need the following information from you:

What we need ✅ Documents or Information
Divorce details Court case number • Stage of proceedings (e.g. Conditional Order granted on DD/MM/YYYY)
Personal details Full names • Dates of birth • Current addresses • Contact e‑mails & phone numbers.
Children (if any) Children(s) names • Dates of birth • Living arrangements • Any maintenance already agreed
Property Latest valuation (estate‑agent letter or online report) • Last mortgage statement
Savings & investments Statements showing current balances for bank, ISA, shares, cryptocurrencies, etc.
Pensions Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV) letter for every pension held.
Debts & liabilities Recent statements for loans, credit cards, car finance, etc.
Written settlement A brief summary of what you have both agreed (we’ll do the legal wording).

After you have ordered our Clean Break consent Order Service for £399, you will be presented with an online account and questionnaire to complete. The online questionnaire is where you provide us with the details of your financial agreement and those above.

Note: Only the valuations and monetary values are required, not the documentation. You aren’t required to send us any documentation, for example, we don’t need to see a mortgage statement or property valuations; you just input the values into our questionnaire.

Everything is completed online, and support is available throughout if you have any questions.

More Detailed Information…

The information we require from you is all readily available and easy to obtain. Here is a more detailed look at what information you will need to complete a clean break consent order:

Divorce Details:

  • Copies of your Conditional Order or the date it was granted.
  • Your divorce court case number (e.g. 1234-5478-5245-5698) – find it on any court letter or your HMCTS portal.

Property & Mortgage Information:

  • Current market value – free online tools, such as Rightmove or Zoopla, are acceptable, or a recent letter from an estate agent.
  • Mortgage balance and lender’s name – your latest annual or monthly statement is perfect.
  • Planned action – e.g. “transfer house to Jane and remove John from mortgage” or “sell and split equity 60/40”.

Savings, Investments, and Cash:

  • Recent statements (within the last three months) for all accounts – banks, building societies, ISAs, premium bonds, shares, cryptocurrency wallets, etc.
  • Note which accounts will be closed or transferred.

Pensions:

  • A CETV (Cash Equivalent Transfer Value) letter for each pension. (You will need to contact your pension company to obtain this).
  • Any pension sharing or offset figure you have agreed (e.g. “50% of John’s pension to Jane”).

Debts & Liabilities:

  • Balances for loans, credit cards, overdrafts, car/HP agreements.
  • State who will take responsibility for each debt after divorce.
